Two working environments under one roof. In 2003, the two-story studio house, openly planned due to a gallery, was refurbished into a double-practice for ENT and psychotherapy. The conceptual objective was to maintain the openness of the rooms in the interior and the view of the privately used backyard and, at the same time, creating the necessary boundary between the different functional areas as well as the boundary to the opposite residential building.
Main emphasis was put on the extraordinary colouring concept. It is based on the combination of green, yellow and orange tones that are weighted differently in the diverse rooms. The friendly colours welcome the patients, light up and enlarge the partly small rooms of the ground floor and basement.
The functional interior was completed by classical furniture with exceptional cover fabrics and by private collector’s items of the client. Reduced materials such as wood, aluminium, satined acrylic glass combined with white surfaces and accentuating colours turn the surgery into a place of warm and bright ambience.
