Nestled within the lush green hills of the Balearic Islands, with sweeping views across the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, »Casa Verde« combines contemporary architecture with the distinctive landscape and cultural identity of the region.
The holistic design concept creates a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. Generous floor-to-ceiling glazing opens the living areas towards the Mediterranean landscape, establishing a compelling interplay between transparency, openness and sheltered privacy.
The minimalist, geometric design language is complemented by a carefully curated palette of regional materials and warm, natural tones. Locally sourced limestone, Mallorcan holm oak and sand-coloured plaster define the architectural character. Their contrasting textures and surfaces lend the spaces a tactile richness while creating a harmonious connection with the surrounding natural environment.
Contemporary interpretations of traditional Moorish arches introduce distinctive architectural features, subtly referencing the island’s cultural and architectural heritage. Delicate room dividers, bespoke built-in elements and thoughtfully coordinated materials reinforce the clarity of the design and articulate the flowing sequence of open spaces.
Carefully considered shades of green echo the colours of the Mediterranean vegetation, introducing fresh accents within the otherwise restrained colour palette.
The result is a timeless, light-filled residential ensemble that brings together regional authenticity and contemporary living within a distinctive architectural identity.
After five years of planning and construction, our interior architecture concepts for the two residences, »Casa Verde & Casa Azul«, in the Balearic Islands have been completed.
To respect our client’s privacy, we are unfortunately unable to publish photographs of the completed interiors.
Instead, we have used AI-assisted tools to create a film of »Casa Verde«, based entirely on our own architectural plans, drawings and design data. The film presents our interior architecture, design approach and the spaces we have conceived, without revealing the property’s precise location or allowing it to be identified.
In this way, we can offer an insight into our work while fully respecting our client’s privacy.
