Igloom. Development of a Modular Room-in-Room System
IGLOOM is a modular room-in-room-system of air-filled, semitransparent bio-synthetic cushions. Its single segments are blown up with an electric pump and strung on a plug-in aluminium tube system.
Free standing or suspended from the ceiling – IGLOOM is poetic seeming, aesthetically independent and yet formally reduced. Thus it integrates variably into diverse usage scenarios and many special, generation-spanning relations.
The use of biodegradable synthetics of natural raw materials, low production costs, little transport weight as well as easy installation, disassembly and alteration make IGLOOM a visionary, sustainable product.
